PowerTel’s Traditional WAN Services refer to PowerTel’s
Frame Relay, ATM and Leased Line data services.
These services are collectively called Traditional
WAN Services because they are data services that have conventionally
been used for Wide Area Networking – that is, for connecting
various suburbs and cities within Australia and select destinations
outside Australia.
Leased Line Services
PowerTel Leased Line is a permanent digital communications
service that enables point to point delivery of traffic at
dedicated bandwidths and throughput. Leased Line supports
a wide range of applications, the most common being private
voice and data networking and internet backbone connectivity.
Frame Relay Services
PowerTel Frame Relay is a data service designed for transmitting
intermittent traffic (alternating amounts of traffic) across
local and wide area networks. Frame Relay is ideal for sending
less than 2Mbps of traffic, and can be used for sending a
variety of applications including data, voice and video.
ATM Services
PowerTel’s ATM service allows you to send constant or
varying amounts of traffic across your corporate network.
It supports bandwidths of 2Mbps and above, and is ideal for
managing voice, data and video services.
