If your telephone number is in the Telephone Directory you probably have Calling Number Display (CND) enabled. This means that your phone number will be displayed on any Calling Number Display enabled telephone, for example on mobile telephones.

However, you are able to block the display of your number on a permanent or on a per call basis using the override code (1831). To block your number for a specific call, dial the 1831 override code before dialling the selected telephone number. Alternatively, if blocking is already enabled, you may unblock your number for a specific call by dialling 1832.

If your telephone number is unlisted PowerTel has a Permanent CND Block on your line which means that it will not be displayed.

Please note that both listed and unlisted telephone numbers are displayed when you dial an emergency service such as 000.

If you would like to block or unblock CND on a permanent basis you may do so, free of charge, once in a six month period by calling our Customer Operations.

If you require additional information regarding Calling Number Display, please contact Customer Operations on line 1300 786 086 or check the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) website at www.aca.gov.au and search under 'CND'.
